Erica Cambarare
instructor/owner
Erica first came to the mat with Power Yoga in 1999. Since then she has enjoyed many types of yoga, but fell in love with the flow style. Erica contemplated teaching yoga for many years and finally made the decision after the birth of her son in early 2007. “It was one of the BEST decisions I’ve ever made!” she says. She enjoys teaching a wide range of classes, from Preschool Yoga to seniors, from beginners to those with a little more experience. Erica has studied with a variety of well know and local teachers, but feels that her students are the real teachers. She says that they are the ones who tell her when to push, when to relax, what pose to go to next and what to leave alone. “Each class is so different, each person is so different. The students have to lead the way, even while I’m leading the class,” she notes. When she is not in class, Erica loves to spend time with her husband and young son. She also keeps busy by reading, painting and making jewelry. Said by many people, and not sure of it’s origins, her favorite yoga quote is “If you can breathe, you can do yoga.”
